We have been in a joint venture with Title Alliance since 2000. The banking industry was going through a major change with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Modernization Act at that time. Early on, we recognized that this change provided our bank an opportunity to simplify and improve customer service, while at the same time improve shareholder value.

We quickly discovered that partner selection would be a very important decision. After much research and due diligence, our board decided to partner with Title Alliance. In hindsight, we are very satisfied with this decision.

Our joint venture provides one-stop-shopping convenience for our customers, and creates a healthy stream of fee income for Irwin Bank. Due to the fact that the joint venture is located within our bank headquarters, there is a streamlined workflow between the bank and title agency, which allows for a higher level of efficiency and ultimately better service for our customers.
